To Be Seen, Is To Be Hunted

The MASK CARVER drawings in this series, inspired by Japanese Noh Theater and ancient Egyptian death masks, serve as boxes of emotions, longing to be freed.
They echo the experience of being on a stage, feeling hunted by the gaze of others, perhaps forgetting that the judgment comes from our own imagination.
A mask then, becomes both armor and a mirror.
